Fred was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA in the small town of Gwynedd Valley. He attended Chestnut Hill Academy K -12, and remains friends with most of his graduating class of 50 students. After high school, Fred attended the College of Charleston where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and worked full-time at the Charleston Crab House where he learned at an early age the importance of hard work and customer service.
After graduating with a degree in Corporate Communications, Fred joined the insurance field where he worked for 2 years, focusing on retirement needs. He quickly realized the value of comprehensive financial planning and that the needs of his clients extended far beyond insurance. Fred obtained his Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations held with LPL Financial (Series 66 also held with Good Life Advisors, LLC) in order to more effectively help them help address their goals and utilize more advanced strategies.
In today’s ever-changing financial world, Fred is committed to professional development and has fulfilled the necessary extensive training required to obtain his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. His move to Good Life Financial Advisors allows him the independence to provide the best service for his clients and the flexibility to spend time with his wife and three young children. When time allows, Fred can be found with a fishing rod in hand, exploring the waterways of the beautiful place he calls home.
Although born in Charleston, West Virginia, Andrew Hoffman has spent most of his life in the Carolinas. His family moved to Charlotte, NC when he was very young. His parents and siblings still reside in Charlotte. During high school, Andrew was very active both in the student council and athletics, where he lettered in both basketball and soccer. After graduating high school, Andrew attended and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications. Andrew began his financial career in 2000, specializing in helping Baby Boomers and business owners’ transition into retirement. For the last 15 years of his career, Andrew has trained insurance agents and other financial professionals, while working with a Fortune 500 Company. He began focusing on portfolio and wealth management, fully understanding that to truly provide holistic planning for his client he not only needed to focus on risk management, but also wealth management. He holds his Series 7 registration through LPL Financial & Series 66 registration through LPL Financial and Good Life Financial Advisors, LLC. He joined the Good Life team in 2016 as a Wealth Manager and currently resides in Charleston, SC with his wife of 4 years, Casey.
Jennifer Ritz has been in the financial industry since 2005 and joined Good Life Advisors as an Advisor in 2016, after a career with Merrill Lynch. Jennifer learned early on the importance of honesty and integrity, and those virtues have guided her career. She works with professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and their families. Jennifer’s process is client-centered and customized to address investment strategies for wealth accumulation, preservation and distribution of assets. She helps clients focus on the areas of retirement, risk management, legacy transfer and education funding.
Jennifer and the team believe that client focus and continued education are vital components of one’s professional life; this enables her to deliver on her commitment to each and every client. She has great respect for the time and effort her clients have taken to accumulate their assets. Jennifer graduated cum lade from The State University of New York at Brockport, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in business management. Jennifer lives in Summerville, South Carolina, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Bridget joined GLIA as the National Support Specialist in 2019 with a focus on the needs of advisors and insurance agents. Bridget is a Charleston, SC native and received her Bachelors in Corporate Communications while attending the College of Charleston. She began her career in early childhood development, managing local childcare facilities, before shifting to business administration and support in the insurance & financial services space. For the past 9 years, she has been in the insurance industry specializing in agent & advisor support, contracting, new business, recruiting, and training.
